I wish but I'm thankful

I wish vacation could last for longer than it does but I'm thankful I can go on vacation and then have a job to come back to.

I wish Corbyn could just sit still at a restaurant so we didn't feel like we had to eat at hyperspeed but I'm thankful he is an active, healthy two year old.

I wish summer television was more than just Wipeout, the Bachelorette, and reruns but I'm thankful that my house is cleaner and I sleep more because of it.

(Speaking of sleep) I wish I slept as well on vacation as I do in my own bed but I'm thankful my bed is something that makes me happy to be home.

I wish someone could invent teleportation so I could hang out more with my cousins but I'm thankful for Cruizin 2011 for bringing us together and laughing harder than I have in a loooong time.

Corbyn even wants to spend more time with his 2nd cousin, he loves her =). I am thankful for this.

I wish but I'm thankful

I wish rocks wouldn’t find my windshield a magnet (4 times this year) but I’m thankful we have free windshield replacement and a glass company that comes to your door, i heart USAA.

I wish I could take a road trip visiting each of my extended family members to just be able to spend time with them and share life but I’m thankful for Facebook to be able to see recent photos, chat about our kids, and even share recipes.

I wish Corbyn could potty train himself but I’m thankful that as his mommy I get to teach him all the essential things in life to help him succeed. There is no greater reward than being a mommy.

I wish I had Advil in my house at this moment but I’m thankful for a husband is currently massaging my neck to relieve my headache, maybe even better than Advil.

I wish I didn't look like a total goob when I laughed but I am so thankful for the laughter in my life.

I wish and I'm thankful

I wish I could be a stay at home mommy but I am thankful for a job I love and that offers me the flexibility to be there for Corbyn whenever he needs me.

I wish I had Gwyneth Paltrow's legs but I am thankful that I have legs that allow me to run after my son and jump up and down when I get excited and ache after a long jog on the treadmill. And bonus I'm thankful I have enough similarities (mainly long, blonde hair) to Gwyneth that my boy saw her picture in a magazine and squealed "mommy!"

I wish I didn't have cravings for salty foods but I am thankful that we have so many different options of food to eat in our society, some healthy, some not so much, but we have options, heck, we have food.

I wish I still lived close to all my besties from college but I am thankful for long phone calls, quick "I'm thinking of you" texts, weddings that bring us all together, and friendship that transcends distance.

I wish I could see five years into the future to see what life holds but I am thankful for a God who does, a God that I love and can put my whole trust in. He brings peace to this anxious girl.
